Intro to Information Technology

Course Description

This course includes the development of the following information technology skills and concepts: computer application skills including computer keyboarding, software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, desktop publishing), e-mail, Internet browser applications, computer programming , Web page design and advanced Web tools.

ITIT meets the computer and practical arts graduation requirement.

Period 1 - Your Word List 4 is due Monday 2/30
Period 2, & 3 - Your Word List 4 is due next Friday 2/27. Make sure it is up to date.

HTML Projects are due this week:

  • Period 1 - Thurs 2/23 Beginning of class
  • Perod 3 -Wed. 2/22 at the Beginning of the Class it must be turned in (See instructions below)
  • Period 4 -Wed 2/22 Beginning of class. (See instructions below)

INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN PROJECT IN:

  • Name your root folder pX_html_lastname (X is your period)
  • Right click your folder and choose copy
  • Navigate to the Webster Classwork folder. Look for Web Design Dropbox folder and place your curser over the folder. Right click and paste. YOU CAN NOT DOUBLE CLICK OR OPEN THE FOLDER

Monday 2/13 - Periods 3 & 4: Your text & images for your My Web Site project are due. Email the information to yourself or create the text in Google Docs. - 10 pts

DAILY POINTS have been added to your grade.  All you can do is LOSE THEM! See the Classroom Rules & Procedures handout.

You will lose them for the following:
  • Being absent
  • Being late to class without a pass
  • Playing games on the computer when you should be doing work or listening to  the teacher
  • Putting your head down in class
  • Talking while instruction is being given
  • Using your cell phone in class without permission
  • Other stuff you know you should not do!
