Intro to Information Technology
Course Description
This course includes the development of the following information technology skills and concepts: computer application skills including computer keyboarding, software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, desktop publishing), e-mail, Internet browser applications, computer programming , web page design and advanced web tools.
ITIT meets the computer and practical arts graduation requirement.

Week 6 (9/26-9/30)
If your Prezi was submitted with an improper link you have until Sun. 12 am to submit your project without losing points.
Get ready for some exercise in IT class. You're fingers are going to be learing proper keyboarding form.
Ways to earn Webster Bucks:Click on the link DECA Fashon & Media Survey link and take the survey. Print your screen at the end of the survey and bring it in on Monday 9/26 for a buck.
Find a term and earn a buck! When you find our terms in books, magazines, newspapers or print materials show me and you'll get a buck. No internet printing accepted.
Week 5 (9/15-9/23)
Monday (periods 1 & 3) and Tuesday (period 4)- Learn how to tie a tie with Mr. Simmons & Mr. Weaver. We'll also learn what your handshake tells others about you!
Wed - Professional business dress & begin Handshake Scavenger Hunt
Finish your Prezi About Me project.
Presentations begin Wednesday for period 1 and Thursday for period periods 3 & 4.
Fri. - Interims, Handshake Scavenger Hunt is due
Week 4 (9/12-9/16)
Bat testing is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Monday: You will go to your assigned room. If you are not taking the test, go to the cafeteria for attendance.
Tuesday & Thursday: If you are not testing you will come to class as scheduled.
**Your DECA Do Now/Word List 1 check will be done sometime this week. Get your composition book & word list up to date.
**Begin collecting collecting pictures for your About Me Prezi presentation. Email them to yourself to download at school or use a flash drive.
Wednesday: JPT Class Schedule Prezi is due. To turn it in online click here.
Thursday & Friday we will work on our About Me Presentations.

Week 3 (9/6-9/9)
This week we will begin our DECA questions. These questions will be written in your composition book daily. We will also begin our Juicy Word, homophones and computer terms. You will have a quiz on the questions and terms. You will find everything you need on the Do Now page.
Tuesday we will begin learning how to use Prezi presentation software at Prezi.com. Your assignment this week will be to create a presentation of your day at JPT.

This week we will be finishing up the Brand Me unit. You will have a quiz so remember to review your notes daily.
